How do I register?
Please sign up for class before the start date!
Many classes either fill up quickly or are cancelled early due to low enrollment. Classes with low enrolment are canceled 3 working days before the start of the class so be sure to enroll before then.
You can register online at dacc.augusoft.net, by phone, fax, mail or in person for courses in Community Education and Customized Training/Workforce Development.

What is your refund policy?
Cancellations three or more business days prior to the course start date, will result in a full refund.  A working day is defined as Monday through Friday, with the exception of published holidays. If you cancel less than three business days prior to the start date of the course, or if you do not attend, you will be responsible for the entire payment, without benefit of refund. You are welcome to send a substitute if you cannot attend.  This policy does not apply for the following Customized Training/Workforce Development courses: Certificate in Management Program, conferences, online courses, truck driving, Pharmacy Technician and Veterinary Assistant.

Are these credit classes?
Courses offered through DACC Community Education and the Customized Training/Workforce Development are non-credit courses. Grades and/or degrees are not part of these courses. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may be earned in skill-building and professional-development type courses. Upon request, certificates of participation and/or completion are available for all Community Education classes. Certificates of Completion are provided for all Customized Training/Workforce Development courses.

Where are the classes located?
DACC Community Education courses are housed throughout the community. Locations include the various DACC locations, the Las Cruces campus of NMSU, University Terrace Good Samaritan Village, Golden Mesa Retirement Community, and a variety of private art studios. Courses may also be held in other county locations, depending on residents’ interests.
DACC Customized Training/Workforce Development courses are taught at the DACC Workforce Center located at 2345 E. Nevada., Las Cruces, NM. Training can also be scheduled at area businesses if desired.  

Who can sign up?
DACC Community Education and Customized Training/Workforce Development courses are open to everyone, regardless of educational background.

When is the deadline to register?
The deadline to register for courses with DACC Community Education is the close of business on the last business day before the course begins, unless specified otherwise by instructor.
The deadline to register for DACC Customized Training courses is at least 48 hours (two business days) prior to the class start date. Early registration is encouraged to ensure enrollment in the class and to prevent cancellation due to low enrollment.

How often does a new course schedule come out?
A new program of courses comes out about 6 weeks before the start of every semester - fall, spring, and summer.

What if a course does not meet the minimum enrollment?
If a DACC Community Education course does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, the course will be cancelled. We will notify you of the cancellation and provide you with the option of signing up for another course or a full refund. 
If a DACC Customized Training/Workforce Development course does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, we will notify you by phone and/or email, to let you know the class is cancelled. We will give you the option of a full refund or, if we have another class scheduled, we can transfer your registration to that class.

What kind of computer software is needed for online classes?
Depending on the particular DACC Community Education online course or certificate, Internet access with Internet Explorer; Firefox; or Safari web browser. Audio software such as windows Media, Real, QuickTime, or Flash can be used to access the audio portion of the online course. When you register for Community Education online courses, you will be provided with a description of what is needed for the course, including additional software. Call 575-527-7527 for more information.
 
DACC Customized Training/Workforce Development, offers both online short courses and online certificate programs. Depending on which online course you register for will determine what program software is needed.  The most common software you will need for online courses will be internet access. If another software program is necessary for the course, it may be provided for you as part of the registration fee. When you register for Customized Training/Workforce Development online courses you will be provided with a description of what is needed for the course, including additional software. Call 575-527-7769 for more information.

Are textbooks required for the courses?
Some DACC Community Education courses require textbooks. In that case, the textbook information is listed in the course with instructions to purchase and bring to class. In some instances, a course textbook is included in the registration fee and will be provided to the student on the first day of the course. 
Textbooks and/or additional materials for DACC Customized Training/Workforce Development courses are provided as part of the course fees

Do I need a parking pass?
If you attend courses at the DACC Central campus Monday through Friday between 7am-4:30pm, a parking pass will be necessary. Complimentary parking passes can be picked up at the DACC Community Education office located at 2345 E. Nevada, Las Cruces, NM. You will not need a parking pass for DACC Workforce Center or DACC East Mesa Campus.

Where can I get a printed catalog?
Printed catalogs can be picked up at all DACC campus locations, the DACC Workforce Center, or various locations in the community, such as free newsstands, local banks, and post offices. To have a DACC Community Education catalog mailed to you, contact the office at 575-527-7527 or if you would like a DACC Customized Training/Workforce Development brochure mailed to you, please call our office at 575-527-7776.

Is payment due at time of registration?
Yes, payment is due at time of registration to guarantee your seat in the course. If you have questions regarding payment for Community Education courses, contact our office at 575-527-7527. If you have questions regarding payment for Customized Training/Workforce Development courses, contact our office at 575-527-7776.

What payment methods are accepted?
Payment methods accepted are Visa, American Express, Master Card, and Discover credit cards, check, money order, or cash.
Personal Checks are not accepted for CDL testing fees, which must be paid at the time of scheduling.

How is enrollment confirmed?
When you enroll in DACC Community Education non-credit courses, online, in person, or by phone, mail, or fax, you will receive an enrollment and registration confirmation by email. You will be notified of any changes to the course(s) for which you have registered. If cancelled, you will have the option of a full refund, transfer to another section of the course, or transfer to another course. 
When you enroll in DACC Customized Training/Workforce Development non-credit course, online, in person, or by telephone, mail, or fax, you will receive an enrollment and  registration confirmation by email. You will be notified by phone and/or email of any changes or cancellations to the course. If cancelled, you will have the option of a full refund, or, if we have another course scheduled, you can transfer your registration to that course.
