What is your refund policy?
Cancellations three or more business days prior to the course start date will result in a full refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellation less than three days or for non-attendance. Refunds may not be immediately available, depending on type of payment.
Do I receive course credit for these classes?
Courses offered through DACC Workforce Development and Career Readiness are non-credit courses. No grades are issued; however, assessment of course progress and completion is included. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may be earned in skill-building and professional-development type courses. Certificates of Completion are provided for all courses.
Where are the classes located?
DACC Workforce Development courses are generally held at the DACC Workforce Center located at 2345 E. Nevada., Las Cruces, NM or at other DACC campuses. Many courses are offered online. Trainings can also be scheduled at area businesses, if desired.
Who can sign up?
DACC Workforce Development courses are open to everyone, regardless of educational background.
When is the deadline to register?
At least 48 hours (two business days) prior to the course start date. Early registration is encouraged to ensure enrollment in the course and to prevent cancellation due to low enrollment.
What happens if a course is cancelled?
If a course does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, we will notify you by phone and/or email to let you know the course is cancelled. We will give you the option of a full refund or, if we have another course scheduled, we can transfer your registration to that course.
What kind of computer software is needed for online classes?
The most common software you will need for online courses will be internet access and common software such as Microsoft Office products. You will be provided with a description of what is needed for the course, including additional software. For other tips on taking online courses, click here.
Are textbooks required for the courses?
Some courses require textbooks. In that case, the textbook information is listed in the course with instructions to purchase and bring to class. In some instances, a course textbook is included in the registration fee and will be provided to the student on the first day of the course.
Do I need a parking pass?
You will not need a parking pass for DACC Workforce Center or DACC East Mesa Campus, or after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays at the Central campus or on weekends.
Where can I get a printed catalog?
Printed catalogs can be picked up at all DACC campus locations, the DACC Workforce Center, or various locations in the community, such as free newsstands, local banks, and post offices. To have a catalog mailed to you, contact the office at 575-527-7776.
Is payment due at time of registration?
Yes, payment is due at time of registration to guarantee your seat in the course. For additional information about financial aid sources, contact our office at 575-527-7776.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payment methods accepted are Visa, American Express, Master Card, and Discover credit cards, check, or money order. Cash payments may be made at the Cashiers Office, East Mesa Campus, DASR 102, 8:00-4:30pm, M-F.
How is enrollment confirmed?
When you enroll in DACC Customized Training/Workforce Development non-credit course, online, in person, or by telephone, mail, or fax, you will receive an enrollment and registration confirmation by email.
